OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Production Manager, our Manufacturing Technologist provides precision electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical assembly, alignment, calibration and verification of the world’s leading 3D measurement sensors.
The successful candidate must be efficient, quality focused, possess outstanding workmanship and attention to detail while practicing ESD controls, laser safety and inventory controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assembling, aligning, calibrating and testing new products ensuring high quality and compliance with production documentation and delivery schedule;
- Troubleshooting and thoroughly testing customer repairs in accordance with the production documentation and delivery schedule;
- Assisting engineers in a new product development by assembling prototypes and providing feedback;
- Maintaining calibration and test equipment;
- Proactively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Electronics (Technology Institute) some previous experience in electronics field is an asset;
- Strong oral and written English;
- Skilled at precision mechanics and hand soldering
- Pride in workmanship with strong attention to detail to achieve LMI quality and workmanship standards
- Ability to stay focused in fast paced environment;
- Trouble-shooting skills;
- Ability to work well independently as well as being effective in team environment;
- Competent with hand-tools (drills, screwdrivers, etc.);
- Willing to learn quickly and enjoying challenges;
- Flexible - Able to work morning/ afternoon/ evening shifts.
